Tiara in her own words:
As the parent of a struggling child or adolescent, you often find yourself wondering
what you can do to help them feel better. I use a person-centered/child-centered
approach to provide a safe and nonjudgmental therapeutic environment.
I believe it is important to understand “What happened to me” versus “What is wrong
with me” and know that life looks differently for everyone, no matter where you were
born or the family you were born into. I have had the pleasure of working with clients
ages 3 to 55 years old and their families. I have serviced Court-ordered clients, children
in the foster care system, victims of sexual abuse and domestic violence, as well as
active duty service members, veterans, and their families.
As a military veteran and active duty spouse, I understand the difficulties of
transitions and the effects they can have on every family member. I believe that
everyone has their own story to tell and should be given the space and support to tell it
